Hi guys and welcome to my first blog for the 2015 World Gymnastics Championships!
I'm pumped to be sharing my build up to Glasgow 2015 with you, giving you an idea of what it's like for a gymnast preparing for the World Champs and the next Olympic Games.
I had a blast at the 2014 World Champs in October. China put on a great event and we were treated very well there which made for a great experience. Nanning was an important stepping stone for Team USA on the road to Rio - we got back on the podium with a strong MAG Team competition and that gives us confidence for the future.
As a team we meshed together really well and we all got along great. We had almost all been on teams with each other in the past so we were already family. That's what made the Champs so fun and the trip brought us even closer together. It was definitely an event we will never forget.
Personally it was great to be in the top 5 in two events and to take home two bronze medals. This was another important step on the way to Rio in 2016 and now my long-term focus turns to the World Championships in Glasgow. As the qualifier for Rio, Team USA want big performances next year to guarantee Olympic places.
We are all excited about the future for Team USA and being with you guys in Glasgow next year will be a big part of that. I've heard that thousands of you have already got your tickets which is amazing. The crowds in China were great but I know Glasgow is famous for having big, noisy crowds.
I'm also really excited that Adidas Gymnastics is the official sportswear partner for the 2015 Championships. As a proud Adidas athlete I know they will bring their passion for gymnastics, innovative design and inspirational attitude to the World Championships in Glasgow. It's going to be awesome!
I'm off now for a bit of chill out time (in the gym!) after the World Champs but I will be back with another blog in December. Keen an eye out for my Team USA buddy John Orozco who will be competing on the FIG World Cup series tour in Glasgow at the start of December. I will be checking with him about how noisy you are ;)
Take care and I hope you will join me in being #allinfor2015
