Media accreditation process now open

Monday 02 February 2015

The 2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships will take place in Glasgow, Scotland, from 23 October until 1 November 2015. The event will bring together more than 500 gymnasts from over 80 countries around the world, for ten days of exhilarating competition in the stunning SSE Hydro Arena, a venue that bore witness to some of the most exciting moments of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.

The competition schedule will comprise four days of qualification events followed by six days of finals where gymnasts will compete in team, all-around and individual apparatus events.

This year the world’s best gymnasts will not only compete to become World Champions, but also to secure their places for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.

We are delighted to advise that the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) has now opened the media accreditation process for all its major events in 2015 including the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Glasgow. The application process is open to the written press, photographers, non-rights holding television and radio representatives.

Members of the media who wish to cover these events must register via the online Media management tool for international Gymnastics events on the FIG website.

The application closing date for media accreditation is 2 October 2015.

We look forward to welcoming you to the event in Glasgow.
